W3 Writing

 Hello Bloggers

This is my Writing Blog for this week.
This week we started our speeches. I rote my speech on Poverty and how we can change the Poverty percentage. I found out some shocking facts about it. One of the facts I found is that 10% or 700 Million people live in poverty. Here is my Best paragraph so far.

When you are at school, you would be thinking that when you go home, you go home to a damp house with mold all over the walls and roof. It won't be good for your health. People live in cars and on the street. Kids even live like that. We are so lucky that we have a warm house.

I hope you have learnt something about poverty.

Hello Bloggers
This is another Writing blog
This week we made a part of our speech That we are making. This is my Favourite paragraph

Unbelievably, 10 percent of the people in the world live in extreme poverty; this is about 700 million. Imagine living on less than $1.90 a day like the people in Sub-Saharan Africa. If this is happening now, think in twenty years the poverty rates probably will rise. That would be terrible for the next generation.

 I Hope you learnt something!

Do you think this is crazy?

Coco's hut

During the lock down me and dad have been making a doggy house for my dog Coco. We got all of the wood and materials from our shed eg paint, nails, roofing iron etc..
We made the frame for the hut with some wood we had. After we made the frame we put the floor in with some decking so coco could sit in it. Then we put the frame for the roof on. I had to cut it on the drop saw and I nailed it up. Next we cut the ply for the roof and sides, I nailed it up to the frame. We cut a door opening for coco so she could get in and out. The next step was to put the roofing iron on, so I nailed it on. The next day I painted it and cut out coco's name and coco was so happy to have a hut for day time use.

favourite board game

My favourite board game is Monopoly. My favourite type is Monopoly empire. The reason I like it is because it is a faster game than the original. This is an example of how to play...

You get a tower and you play the same way as what you would as if your playing a normal game of Monopoly but there are billboards and when you buy billboards instead of buying real estate you buy companies eg. McDonald's, Coca-Cola and Beats.
So what is your favourite board game?

baseball/softball target

Hi guys, on Sunday I made a target for my baseball pitching practice. I made it because I wanted to keep up my practice skills and improve my pitch. I belong to the Southern Astros baseball team.
We made it into the NZ Nationals at Nelson this year. But sadly it was cancelled due to the lock down.
I made it out of my old trampoline and used the mat as the target. I used some of the plastic safety mesh my Dad had in his shed as the backstop. A tramp can be used for all sorts of sport eg Rugby, soccer, cricket and hockey. Here are my photos.
