baseball/softball target

Hi guys, on Sunday I made a target for my baseball pitching practice. I made it because I wanted to keep up my practice skills and improve my pitch. I belong to the Southern Astros baseball team.
We made it into the NZ Nationals at Nelson this year. But sadly it was cancelled due to the lock down.
I made it out of my old trampoline and used the mat as the target. I used some of the plastic safety mesh my Dad had in his shed as the backstop. A tramp can be used for all sorts of sport eg Rugby, soccer, cricket and hockey. Here are my photos.

  1. Hi Antonio - what a great first post on your first blog! I love the target you have made. Very creative recycling materials in your back yard. When he was younger my son used our trampoline as a cricket net to practise his bowling!

It is great to have a goal and keep working towards achieving it! Hopefully they will be able to reschedule the NZ Nationals later in the year.

What other sports do you play?

  3. Hi Antonio. You are clearly great at inventing new purposes for things around your home. I love your baseball practising net. I used to play baseball and basketball. Two great games. I was also on the swimming training team when I was in the swimming club at school. Do you have a favourite sport? If so, why?
